God's Calling in Rita's Life
"I was raised in a Christian family, with two strong believers as parents.
At the age of six, I realized my need for a Savior, and asked
my dad about Jesus and how I could know Him better. At the age of fourteen,
I began to feel that God was leading me into full-time ministry. The following
summer, I began working at Camp Maranatha in Ila, Georgia. At the age of
seventeen, I felt the Lord specifying my ministry call as missions as well as
the Lord's leadingtowards Australia as the ministry field, and at the age of
nineteen, God confirmed missions as His "career call" on my life.
The following year (2002), I began attending Moody Bible Institute
and three years later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Evangelism/Discipleship from the Missions Department.
Two years later (2007), I was appointed with FIM as a career missionary to Australia."
Interests and Hobbies:
Music, theater, mentoring, street evangelism, homeless ministry, children's ministry, dance, art, photography, writing,
music composition & arranging, hiking, jogging, soccer, equestrian, web design,
animals, nature, travel, arts & crafts, scrapbooking, etc.
